Yahia completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Emory University and Georgia Tech in the Systems Neural Engineering Lab (SNEL) under Dr. Chethan Pandarinath. His doctoral research focused on real-time dynamical systems modeling for building robust, high-performance brain-computer interfaces. He is now an ML/AI Software Engineer at tacit.ai.

Yahia received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2019. His undergraduate research focused on developing an automated rodent training system for motor control studies. His senior capstone focused on designing fetal heart monitor technology for hospitals in low-resource areas.
